POP

Kebanyakan para ABG / Anak muda kebanyakan, masih suka sama yang sedang booming / happening.

Melayu

Hampir sama dengan penikmat musik pop, tapi yang ini sifat intelektualnya kurang.

JAZZ

Biasanya penikmat musik yang ginian orang-orang kaya, pake jas dan berdasi yang berbisnis gede.

Indie

Anak muda yang punya banyak angan-angan, punya kepercayaan diri tinggi dan suka keluyuran

Rock

Yang satu ini punya jiwa kreatifitas tinggi, menganggap sekeliling sebagai batu. Jadi kebanyakan yang suka lagu rock ini orangnya cuek dan tak mudah terpengaruh meskipun tak punya prinsip tegas, Nha… bingung ora?

Metal / Hard Core

Terlihat seperti tanpa beban, tapi sebenarnya orang yang seperti ini punya beban yang gede yang di pendam.

Hip Hop

Nih orangnya kebanyakan tingkah alias lebay. Pengen suka tampil beda, nyentrik, bling-bling. Merasa dirinya hebat.

Dang Dut

Yang kayak gini nih, kebanyakan orang desa atau pola pikirnya ga matang. Dari niat nonton atau cuman ndengerin aja, pikirannya pasti menjurus ke ‘kukuruyuk’.

Coba aja liat kenyataan, penonton acara musik yang digelar. Kalau musik POP misalnya liat di tipi-tipi kayak sekarang ini, DAHSYUT, INBAX, KUSS VAGONZA, DERANG…. banyak deh… trus bedain sama tampang-tampang dan penampilan yang nonton konser Java Musik Internasional yang ada di Jakarta kebanyakan. Apalagi kalau lihat muke gile para penikmat dangdut yang nggelar panggung dangdutan di pasar-pasar, beda banget. Kayaknya gitu deh kira-kira.

Saosin, yup. Grub band yang ber aliran post-hardcore yang berasal dari Newport Beach, California, berdiri sejak 2003. Band yang bisa dibilang mempunyai kriteria Alternative Metal, Alternative Rock dan dekat dengan Anthony Green, Circa Survive, Underoath dan Avenged Sevenfold ini diusung oleh Cove Reber sebagai vocalis band , guitarists Beau Burchell dan Justin Shekoski, bassist Chris Sorenson, and drummer Alex Rodriguez.

Saosin pernah konser di Jakarta di tahun 2007 saat mereka mempromosikan album kedua mereka 'saosin' self title ( sebenarnya merupakan album studio

resmi mereka yang pertama karena album 'Translating the Name' sebagai demo pada tahun 2003 yang saat itu masih divokali Anthony Green ).

Banyak yang orang yang bilang kalau saosin identik dengan pertemuan genre post hardcore dengan emo, jadi band ini tidak hanya terpaku pada satu genre saja. Namun begitu, lagu-lagu Saosin sangat digemari seperti You’re Not Alone, Seven Years, Voices dan banyak lagi.

Avenged Sevenfold 2010 Album New

Avenged Sevenfold, wewewewew..... yup band dengan logo tengkorak bersayap kelelawar ini sudah memutuskan untuk menghentikan tour konser mereka setelah yang terakhir kali di acara Sonisphere Festival yang berlangsung di Eropa Juni - Agustus 2009. Alasanya...?!?

Pastinya nih, A7X sebutan dari Avenged Sevenfold akan menyelesaikan project album mereka yang diperkirakan akan rilis tahun 2010 awal. Nha, sedikit aja nih aku punya bocoran.

Lagu-lagu yang mereka buat hampir sama genre nya dengan album self title mereka tahun 2007. Mereka mengusung tema lebih alternative dan ada soft rock nya juga, namun aliran asli A7X metal core masih ada. Jadi emang nih Avenged Sevenfold genrenya crossover.

Dari data yang saya peroleh peroleh, mereka menamai album baru nya ***** belum ada info, masih onward. Tetapi, lagu yang sebentar lagi mau di publish judulnya Unwind The Chainsaw. Udah nyoba cari di youtube, my space atau udah download lagunya?

Kalau mengira nih video adalah lagu Unwind The Chainsaw dari Avenged Sevenfold. Salah besar, ketipu sama yang upload video.... dasar tuh manusia gila, udah bohongin banyak orang. Asal kalian tahu aja, itu lagu dari Finger Eleven. Beda banget kan sama suara nya Matt Shadows. Meskipun suara melody gitarnya mirip sama Schecter Synyster Gates Syn Custom guitar tapi tuh emang bukan. What the ****!!!???

Lagu baru Avenged Sevenfold Unwind The Chainsaw aja masih dirahasiakan sama Barner Bross.
Banyak sumber yang memprediksikan kalau lagu tersebut beraliran / genre soft-alternative, dengan alasan sebagai teknik marketing seperti kesuksesan album Avenged Sevenfold Self Title 2007 lalu. Yang terbukti bisa menarik simpati banyak fans baru dengan mengeluarkan lagu 'Dear God', bener ga?

Satu lagi nih video, solo gitar Synyster Gates. Denger yang bagian akhir sebelum bat country di teriakkan.

Keren deh kalau nonton langsung, ga kalah seri sama maen Call Of Duty 4. Heee...

Tak lama setelah penyanyi top dunia Michael Jackson meninggal, Penyanyi nyentrik dan fenomenal di Indonesia yang sempat menggemparkan asia Mbah Surip meninggal dunia, akibat penyakit serangan jantung di Rumah Sakit Jantung, Pusdikkes, di Jalan raya Bogor, 10.30 wib, Selasa 4 Agustus 2009.

Bagian UGD Agus, perawat mengakui meninggalnya Mbah Surip. "Benar meninggal dunia sekitar pukul 10.30 Wib," kata Agus.

Padahal di Bulan Ramadhan ini,

Mbah Surip penuh dengan kejutan. Setelah mengumumkan akan menciptakan lagu anak-anak, penyanyi bernama asli Urip Aryanto ini mendadak mengaku sudah menyiapkan lagu khusus menyambut bulan Ramadhan.

Dan satu lagi obsesi mbah surip membeli Helicopter untuk menunjukkan pada dunia bahwa artis indonesia bisa beli helicopter belum tercapai dan hanyalah tinggal angan belaka.

JAVA ROCKIN'LAND 2009 Jakarta Indonesia

Akhirnya setelah menunggu sekian lama 'terganggu pemilu' seperti apa yang dikatakan di posting sebelumnya, akhirnya di bulan Agustus 2009 Konser Rock Musik besar bertaraf Internasional akan menghentak Indonesia terutama Jakarta.

JAKARTA - Medio tahun 2009, Jakarta bersiap menggelar festival musik rock. Festival berkelas internasional ini, diberi tajuk "Java Rockin' Land 2009" yang direncanakan berlangsung 7,8 dan 9 Agustus bertempat di Pantai Carnaval Ancol, Jakarta.

Menurut informasi pihak penyelenggara, Java Production, Dewi Gontha, di Jakarta, konsep festival telah digodok selama dua tahun. Berbeda dengan festival yang sudah ada, Java Rockin' Land 2009 mencoba menampilkan lebih banyak musisi luar negeri tanpa kehilangan sentuhan musik rock dalam negeri.

Sesuai dengan tema yang diusung, nama-nama beken macam Stone Temple Plots, Secondhand Serenade, Boys Like Girls dan Dashboard Confessional direncanakan turut ambil bagian. Untuk menambah semarak festival, tampil pula punggawa-punggawa musik rock dalam negeri, sebut saja, Gigi, /rif, Netral, Koil dan Slank.

Tak hanya menawarkan penampilan musisi luar negeri yang lebih banyak, konsep panggung bakal dikreasikan dengan beragam tema sesuai pertunjukan. "Nanti akan ada 7 panggung yang dipersiapkan guna mengakomodasi selera penggemar musik rock," kata Dewi.

Sebagai pusat pertunjukan, akan disiapkan 3 panggung utama yakni Main Stage, Large Stage dan Semi dome. Empat panggung lain juga tak kalah kalah menarik dengan menampilkan pertunjukan khusus seperti, accoustic stage (khusus pertunjukan musik akustik), community stage (khusus komunitas indie), talent stage (khusus pendatang baru) dan sagara stage (khusus musik DJ).

Pengamat musik, Deni Sakri menyambut positif dengan terselenggaranya Java Rockin'Land 2009 sebagai alternatif sajian musik rock di tanah air. Deni berharap festival macam Java Rockin'Land bisa mengakomodasi penggemar musik rock yang selama ini terpisah secara komunal.

"Tak hanya itu, tujuan lain festival musik rock bisa merubah anggapan yang identik dengan rusuh. Karena sajian musik rock merupakan hiburan tersendiri dengan sentuhan khas masing-masing," kata dia. Direncanakan, festival akan berlangsung mulai pukul 16.00 WIB hingga 00.00 WIB dengan penawaran harga tiket progresif. (cr2/itz)

2nd-hand Serenade yang berasal dari Menlo Park, California, USA. Nih band paling aneh. Ga tau kenapa bisa dinamain Secondand Serenade, coba aja tebak... berapa personel Secondhand serenade? 4, 5, 3..??? ow,ow, ow... Yuk bahas lagi tentang Secondhand Serenade.

Secondhand Serenade yang mempunyai genre : Acoustic Rock | Alternative Rock | Emo ini sangat sangat melekat pada sosok karakteristik seorang vokalis sekaligus pemain gitar yang bernama John Vesely.

Lagu-lagu yang ia nyanyikan juga bagus, terutama nih judulnya : Fall For You, It's Not Over dan Maybe menurut aku, kebanyakan sih para cewe-cewe dan abg yang suka sama lagu-lagunya dia.

Si Vokalis John Vesely nampak sendirian... ( yang lainnya mana??? ). Ternyata nih, Secondhand Serenade merupakan 'Solo Project' John Vesely. Jadi, nih band cuman ada satu personil saja. Jadi yang jawab ada 4,5,3 tuh ga bener! he...

Sebagai solo project yang dimulai pada tahun 2004 Vesely telah merilis dua album studio dibawah nama Secondhand Serenade yang berlabel Warner/Glassnote, Awake di tahun 2007 dan A Twist in My Story ditahun 2008. Debut albumnya menggunakan multitrack recording untuk menciptakan suara berteknologi, di album kedua memakai proper band dan orchestra untuk membuat suara yang lebih mumpuni.

A good sound starts from the fingers, through the pick-up to the guitar and out. If you don’t start there, you’re spinning in circles and end up with a transparent (fuzzy) sound without body and response. “Your fingers are your tone generators”. Not the amps or pedals. Those are tools to augment your expression. That’s what guitar lessons teach you, not teaching you a song without teaching you, and guiding you in technique.

And, if you learn a thing or two about trouble shooting “on the fly”, you’ll go down the line to find the problem with your rig. The same goes for finding your sound. When establishing your sound you start with your technique, through the pick-up on down to the amp. With trouble shooting on stage, you should start with the amp and go down the line back to you, which make’s sense. Since you’ve established your rig set up. As you’re trying to fix what was working, you back track.

This saves time and controls moods, besides the over all situation’s under control. Then, if and when you need to use a stage tech, you’ll have a template in which to explain what it is you require from the person “you” hire. There’s nothing more frustrating than hiring someone, that has no idea what it is you need or want. Imagine working for someone without a clue. A band leader who expects you to read his mind? Communication starts with a plan.

Reasons to Learn Music Theory

If you thought music theory was a waste of time and not necessary to further your musical goals, then read these following 5 reasons why this is not true.

1.Read sheet music: Being able to play from any piece of sheet music. Well it may be hard to play BUT you can read it!

2.Be able to transpose: Say you are playing a piece from the sheet music you can now read but you think it sounds too high or too low, or just not right. Well now you can move it into a new key and play at a better singing.

3.Be able to modulate: You will be able to, with a few quick moves of the fingers, move your music into a new key with a succession of notes so pleasing to the ear it will bring a smile to your listeners faces.

4.It will increase your skill in improvising: Enough said.

5.Knowing music theory will help you recreate the sounds you enjoy in your favorite songs. Those fabulous chord progressions. The parts that give a song that certain sound. Gospel, Contemporary etc.

To learn music theory you don’t have to become a scholar on the subject. Just at least learn the basics. Getting a good music theory book and spending a few minutes a day reading from it and doing any included exercises can jump start your music playing.

Lesson Piano Tips

Music is a very important part of our lives. Not much more than our ears, please - is an integral part of human development.
Several years ago, there was an experiment conducted by scientists at the University of California at Irvine in 1993. (published in Nature) had college students listen to Mozart Sonata for two Pianos in D Major, a relaxation tape or silence. Immediately following these sessions, students took a test of spatial reasoning (the ability to put puzzles) and student performance improved dramatically after listening. The reason is because music and spatial abilities share the same pathways in the brain.
Another experiment was carried out subsequently by researchers at the Appalachian State University and the researchers were successful and the connection of music to promote the "brain power".
Giving pre-school children (ages 3-4 years. Antiguos) training for 8 months. The children were divided into 4 groups: keyboard lessons,

singing lessons, computer classes and no experience. After 8 months of this treatment, children were tested on their ability to put together puzzles (spatial-temporal reasoning) and recognize shapes (spatial reasoning recognition) and the results were amazing!
